The top side of the Inner Front Fender is buffed and polished to achieve a smooth defect-free plating surface, then a semi-bright nickel is applied, followed by a strike nickel, and then by bright nickel. The top of the Inner Front Fender is then chromed. The under side is painted silver to resist rust and ensure durability.
