Residual Check Valves

When the master cylinder is mounted below the brake calipers or wheel cylinders, a check valve is needed to stop the brake fluid from draining back to the master cylinder. Inline residual check valves retain a minimum brake line pressure to help eliminate excessive pedal travel without causing the brakes to drag. Disc brakes use a 2psi valve; drum brake systems use a 10psi valve.
