Air Conditioning Systems with Front Air Only
1967-72 Chevy & GMC Blazer, Jimmy, Suburban
These are complete AC, heat and defrost systems that are controlled via cable or the more trouble free electronic operation. Cable operated units are designed for use with factory AC control head (#32-0631 sold separately, see below). The unit is interior mounted under the dash and installs to the firewall. Custom metal block off plates for the under hood side of the firewall eliminate the bulky original heater box and provide a clean, smooth appearance. AC and heater fittings pass through the mounting plates with a custom rubber grommet. Step-by-step, fully detailed illustrated instructions are included.
AC Systems with compressor are designed for use with small block Chevrolet engines. Order the corresponding compressor mounting bracket and engine pulleys based on the water pump length and desired compressor mounting location for your vehicle. Kits supplied without compressor are ideal for vehicles that have swapped engines and/or already have installed an AC compressor as part of their engine's accessory drive system. All systems are designed for use with R134A refrigerant.
Non-AC Cab Models
These kits are designed for use with factory style dash vents (sold separately) and include templates for cutting dash vents on non-AC cabs. Adding the optional trinary switch upgrade #32-0543 and optional dual electric fan assembly #38-4883 will increase airflow across condenser to maximize the AC system performance.
Brackets and Pulleys
When adding AC to Chevrolet V8 engines with v-belts a 2 groove water pump pulley and a 2 groove crankshaft pulley will be required. Models with power steering will require a 3 groove crankshaft pulley.
