The Exhaust Manifold Bolt Repair Kits stop exhaust leaks that occur between the exhaust manifold and the cylinder head on 1999-07 model GM trucks and SUVs with 4.8, 5.3 or 6.0L engines.
The exhaust leak is caused by the end retaining bolts on the manifold breaking off inside the cylinder head. These kits allow repair of the exhaust leak(s) without having to remove the cylinder head or drill out and replace the broken end bolts.
These repair kits will not fail like the original bolts from heat and expansion of the manifold. Kit #37-5941 will repair the left front or right rear mounting holes and #37-5942 will repair the right front or left rear mounting holes. All required hardware and detailed instructions are included.
