POR-15 Top Coat can be applied directly to a clean prepped metal surface, but when used as a top coat over POR-15 Rust Preventive Coating it provides the toughest, most permanent protection against rust and corrosion. It has exceptional long-term gloss and color retention when exposed to sunlight and the elements, non-porous, extremely scratch and chip resistant, won't crack, peel or chip. Can be applied directly to metal substrates, with no need for a primer or undercoat, and is formulated to form a robust barrier that sheds moisture.

Chassis Black has a semi-gloss appearance. For maximum durability Chassis Black should be clear coated.
