Relocating the gas tank to the rear of the truck moves the fuel's weight to a more optimal location, frees up interior room and eliminates gas fumes inside the cab. Gas tank is made from galvanized steel and fits wood or steel bed trucks. Includes lock ring, o-ring, mounting straps and hardware. Sending unit (sold separately) works with the original fuel gauge. The top fill tank lets you fill the 17-gallon tank easily through the bed floor. When installed, the filler neck is located 3" from the left of the bed centerline. Tank has a 1/4" NPT bung to accept a rollover vent valve, sold separately, see below.
Additional parts will be necessary to complete the installation. You will need to add a gas filler neck, filler hose and gas cap; extend the fuel feed line and sending unit wires; and relocate the frame mounted spare tire. Custom fitting and fabrication will be required. Instructions are not available.
