The Altman Easy Hood Latch™ is a bolt-on hood latching system designed to replace the factory hood latch with a modern rotary claw mechanism. This system is engineered as a direct upgrade for the original 1967–72 Ford hood latch, eliminating the bulky and outdated factory design while improving both function and appearance, and allows your hood to close smoothly, securely, and consistently without the need for slamming. Flush hood mounting also eliminates the danger of head injuries caused by the low-hanging factory parts. Installs using factory mounting locations with no cutting, welding, or drilling required.
Each kit includes everything needed for installation: latch assembly, billet striker, mounting components, hardware, and detailed instructions.
