Rear End Conversion Kit

Rear End Conversion Kits allow you to install any rear end housing with 3" diameter axle tubes into your 1947-59 truck.
1947-55 1st Series
Kit includes axle seat brackets, spring seat brackets with lower shock mount provision, upper shock mount brackets and u-bolts. The axle seat brackets have two indexing holes, one offset 2" forward for 1947-53 models when converting from a closed driveline and one centered for 1954-55 models. The indexing holes allow the rear end to be centered in the wheel opening. The shock mount brackets will allow you to upgrade to gas-charged shocks on 1947-49 models and reposition shocks if necessary. On models with the rear spring mounted over the axle tubes this kit can be used to mount the rear spring under the axle tubes for a 4"-5" rear drop. Welding is required for installation.
