Hedman Headers have 3" collector tubes for excellent exhaust flow, reducing back pressure and improving performance. Includes hardware, gaskets and instructions needed for installation. Headers are painted black. Tests have shown a 1.1 second improvement in 0 to 60 second times. Expect up to a 20% increase in horsepower and up to a 10% increase in gas mileage. Increases in fuel efficiency and horsepower are based on a truck operating at factory specifications. Increases may vary according to the condition of your truck and driving habits.
New mid-length headers provide maximum ground clearance for lowered trucks and allow exhaust pipes to be tucked so they don't extend below the frame rails.
When installing headers it will be necessary to cut the existing exhaust pipes to attach the included exhaust reducers. In most cases, new lead pipes will need to be fabricated. For trucks with power steering, a Power Steering Spacer Kit #36-6023 is needed for proper belt alignment.
Not legal in California for use on emission controlled vehicles. 1966 and newer U.S. manufactured California Certified vehicles are considered emission controlled vehicles.
